I PUT ON THE FIRE?
Each type of material used is a link between the fire and the food.
There are three fundamental characteristics: water resistance, high temperature
resistance, and thermal conductivity. This last one is essential: the higher the
conductivity of a material (e.g. gold and silver, copper and aluminum), the shorter
the time needed to reach the desired temperature, and the better the consistent
heat distribution on all surfaces.
